Prior to joining Diane Neumann & Associates, Kate lived in Paris, France, where she founded a consulting firm that taught advanced computer skills. Upon her return to the States, she was employed by Fallon Hines & O’Connor, with responsibilities to design and prepare documents governing the transactions of half-billion dollar investment portfolios. Kate is a former Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County, where she prosecuted criminal offenses and was featured in a Frontline documentary “Real Justice”.

Kate assists clients through the many decision couples must consider in order to reach a fair and reasonable divorce agreement. For clients with children, she works with parents in order to reach the best child custody and parenting decisions. Kate will explain and calculate the Massachusetts Child Support Guidelines Worksheet, as well as additions and future recalculations of child support. All subsequent income change consequences will also be addressed.

For clients with a marital residence, Kate will guide clients through the choices regarding the ownership, use, and/or sale of a primary residence, and provide information regarding joint ownership, transfer of property, refinancing, legal title, and any capital gains tax. During this period of real estate uncertainty Kate will assist clients with the difficult issue of high mortgage.

Clients who work with Kate have reached agreements that fit each client’s unique needs and situation. Kate mediates with clients who have a modest financial situation, as well as assets which consist primarily of a marital residence, and employment retirement and IRA plans.
